Ziyaad Azeer, CFA is a seasoned investment professional with over a decade of experience in private equity and venture capital in emerging markets. He spent 10 years at South Suez Capital, a leading private equity fund-of-funds focused on Africa, where he was responsible for investment due diligence, fund monitoring, portfolio valuation and ESG.

With deep expertise in risk management, he has developed proprietary risk assessment frameworks that optimize capital deployment and safeguard investor interests. His leadership in ESG and sustainable finance has helped institutions align investments with global sustainability standards such as PRI, TCFD, and IFC guidelines. He has also developed financial models, analytics dashboards, and automated reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.

Now, as Founder of Blue Onyx Consulting, his mission is to bridge financial expertise with creative problem-solving, helping clients navigate financial landscapes, mitigate risks, and unlock long-term value.

Ziyaad Azeer, Managing Director

Emeline is a Sustainability and Environmental Consultant with expertise in environmental management, climate resilience, sustainability standards, and stakeholder engagement. She has advised and supported sustainability initiatives across the public, private, and development sectors, collaborating with government institutions, international organisations, NGOs, and local stakeholders. Fluent in English and French, she fosters partnerships and drives collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups..

Her work focuses on supporting organisations in the development and implementation of sustainability and climate resilience initiatives. She has experience in sustainability certification and assurance processes, including B Corp, Bonsucro, ESG, and sustainability management standards, helping organisations enhance their environmental and social performance and advance their sustainability objectives.

Emeline holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences from the University of Southampton (UK) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Science with Specialization Environmental Planning and Management from the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (The Netherlands).
